[GH-ISSUE #256] [Feature]: Quick print speed control (50/100/124/166%) #158

Problem or Use Case

When monitoring a print from my phone, I often need to quickly adjust the printer speed (e.g., slow down for first layers or speed up when everything is stable).

Right now, changing speed requires extra navigation (or using another app), which is inconvenient during active monitoring. A quick speed toggle would make on-the-fly adjustments much faster and safer.

Proposed Solution

Add a quick “Print Speed” control accessible from the main printing screen.

Suggested behavior:

  • Provide 4 presets: 50%, 100%, 124%, 166%
  • One-tap to switch between presets (with clear indication of the active preset)
  • Place the control near the existing quick buttons (e.g., next to/near the light button), since that area is already used for frequently accessed actions.

Alternatives Considered

Current workaround is using Bambu Handy (or navigating through deeper menus) to change speed, but it’s slower and not ideal when you want a quick adjustment during printing.

Feature Category

Monitoring & Stats

Priority

Nice to have

Mockups or Examples

I attached a screenshot showing the suggested placement near the light button (same quick-action area).
A speed icon/dropdown or segmented control there would be ideal.

Contribution

  • I would be willing to help implement this feature

Checklist

  • I have searched existing issues to ensure this feature hasn't already been requested

Please put it in the control row beside the fan badges.

Hi! Just a quick update from me.

I tried to implement this feature myself, but unfortunately I couldn’t get it working properly. I’m not very experienced with this codebase, so I might be missing something.

I’m not sure if this is still something you’re interested in adding, but I would definitely love to see it if you ever have time in the future.

For now, I guess I’ll be patiently waiting. Thanks again for your awesome work on this project!
