Problem or Use Case
Printing from Bambuddy’s main File Manager (Bambuddy storage) works well.
But many jobs exist only on the printer SD card (sent directly to the printer, legacy files, shared lab workflows). Bambuddy can show these via:
Printer Card → Storage → SD card view
However, SD card files are currently not manageable from the main Bambuddy File Manager and cannot be printed/queued from that SD card view (forcing a download → reupload workaround).
Proposed Solution
Add “Print” / “Queue” actions to the SD card File Manager view
In the SD card file list (opened from printer card), allow selecting one (or multiple) files and:
(The printer selection should follow the usual Bambuddy queuing workflow)
And Change the Default sorting to newest first, so the most recent uploads are immediately accessible.
OR/AND
Add each printer’s SD card as a remote storage location in the main Bambuddy File Manager, so SD card content can be managed with the same UX and actions as Bambuddy storage.
In File Manager, add the remote storage locations:
(optional) Filter/search across Printers/locations
This could also tie into the Discord discussions (jhf2442 and issue #124 ) regarding workflow and remote FTP/NAS file storage
Alternatives Considered
download → reupload workaround

@maziggy commented on GitHub (Feb 16, 2026):
Sorry, but I don't see the requirement to start prints from printer's file manager.
When it comes to external folder support, this should also not be implemented in this place.
