Problem or Use Case

When printing - I sometime want to control the speed during the print using the print (speed) modes defined on the printer: Silent, Normal, Sport, Ludicrous. Especially switching between normal and silent.

The reason is quite practical - sometimes a print takes a bit longer than I initially expected and someone went to bed early. The sound of the printer at normal/higher speeds is more than noticeable because of the wooden floors. On silent its ... well ... more silent and more acceptable then. We don't all have nice concrete floors in our houses sadly.

Also sometimes it feels more comfortable (probably only mentally) to slow it down when it seems there might be issues.

Proposed Solution

A beautiful selection method on the printers page would be great to select the mode, during a print.

Alternatives Considered

I could slow print speeds in the slicer before slicing, but that kind of defeats the purpose of the Speed-Control during a print.

My sincere apologies - I overlooked it multiple times. Maybe because its not onmipresent - but the interface-bit is hidden when the functionality is unavailable instead of disabled when unavailable. #sorry

@maziggy When you adjust the printer speed, the print completion time does not adjust. Is this calculable?

Puhhh :) Yes I think so, if it is really required.
