Problem or Use Case

I'm grateful for the smart plug integration in Bambuddy, especially through Home Assistant as none of my smart plugs are Tasmota compatible. I have my BentoBox chamber filter on a smart plug and Bambuddy's able to access it through Home Assistant perfectly.

Auto On works wonderfully to start the filter with a print. And Auto Off works perfectly, but only once. I understand that's the point of the (one-shot) indication in the settings. But I'd really love to have the option to toggle Auto Off permanently so I don't have to re-enable it with every print.

Proposed Solution

It would be nice just to have an option for a permanent Auto-Off toggle somewhere in the smart plug settings.

Alternatives Considered

I did try automating this in Home Assistant instead, but found that when I'm accessing my printer in Home Assistant through HACS it seems to interfere with Bambuddy and Bambu Companion's ability to connect to the printer. So I've had to remove my printer from HACS/HA because I much prefer to manage it through Bambuddy on desktop and Bambu Companion in iOS.

Apologies that this feature request is in the wrong category. I don't see a way to fix it.

Awesome. I just switched my docker container over to :daily and I see it in there already. Thanks so much! I have a print running right now and I'll know in an hour if the persistent setting persists.

I’ve done four or five prints so far and it’s working well. I’ll mention that it doesn’t auto shut off the switch if I cancel a print, but that’s ok. If I’m canceling a print it means I’m actively interacting with it anyway. Prints that finish successfully are effectively using the persistent auto-off. (And I have it set to turn off when the nozzle temp gets below 80C so the filter is always running whenever there’s hot filament in the chamber.)

Thanks so much for the quick implementation!
