I would like to add a new Brand and select it in the Brands dropdown and not typisch it in everytime

You need to explain your issue a little bit more detailed. You can add a new brand to the spool catalog.

i would like to add a brand name to the dropdown:

right now i have to type in the name everytime i add a spool of that brand.

now i can only add a new "empty spool weight" here:

there is only a spool catalog (for empty spool weight) and a color catalog.
a brands catalog would be great

As soon as you add a color for your custom brand, it shows up in forms. Not sure if we really need a separated brands database.

If the Brands list is ipdated from the spool Catalog would be fine

ok ihave added them to the color catalog and now i can select the brand from the dropdown.
