@maziggy commented on GitHub (Feb 12, 2026):

There are actually two existing ways to connect File Manager content to projects:

  1. Link folders to projects — In the File Manager, right-click a folder → "Link to Project or Archive." This creates a shortcut in the project's "Files" tab for quick access.
  2. Assign archives to projects — After a file has been printed and archived, you can right-click the archive → "Add to Project" to assign it.

If you're looking for something different — like pre-assigning a library file to a project so that when it's printed, the resulting archive automatically lands in that project — let me know and I can look into that.

If you find Bambuddy useful, please consider giving it a on GitHub — it helps others discover the project!

Yes pre assigning a library file to a project would also be something that would be a great feature.

The current workflow already covers this:

  1. Print the file
  2. Once archived, right-click the archive → "Add to Project"

This keeps things flexible — each print of the same file can go to a different project as needed.
