Bug Description

Bambuddy updates are disabled, and the software has no internet egress, yet I am getting a pop-up about failed updates (see image).

Expected Behavior

Don't check, or throw error message about failing to update.

Steps to Reproduce

Have check for updates disabled
Go to settings page; get error
