Problem or Use Case

Would be great to allow oidc for authentik or any other providers.

Proposed Solution

Integrate oidc for auth. Allow linking to existing accounts or creating new accounts from authenticated users. Integrate with the rbac system built-in. More for the SSO convenience.

Alternatives Considered

Not sure there is one besides logging in with separate credentials

Priority

Mockups or Examples

@maziggy commented on GitHub (Feb 20, 2026):

Thanks for the suggestion! OIDC/SSO would definitely be valuable for teams managing printer farms with centralized identity providers.

It's a fairly large feature (authorization code flow, provider configuration, account linking/creation, group mapping, frontend login changes), so it won't land immediately, but it's on our radar. If you'd like to get started on a PR in the meantime, we're happy to review it!
