Bug Description

So this will be a weird one as I'm not sure how to reproduce it or even what happened, it was only 1 print.

However, after the print had completed, it "used" the rest of the filament available in my spool, changing the value to 0 - see screenshot. It hasn't happened since, is there a way to regenerate the gcode, as my stats are slightly out.

Should have only used 52g but used 800g

Expected Behavior

Print and use the standard amount printed.

Steps to Reproduce

Doubt it will happen.
Print a file and see if the correct amount comes off

Mhhh....the question is, what weight the spool had in inventory, before starting the first print.

And what's the current real weight of spool?

It weighed 800g before it finished printing.
When I inserted the spool into BamBuddy I had to modify the total to start with, as I was keeping track in 3dfilamentprofiles before we could in BamBuddy

There was another spool that emptied from that print as well. A strange thing is, I've had a few other prints with modified spool start counts.

I think I need some more details to understand what happened.

  • What spools we are talking about?
  • What was the exact workflow for the spool in question (from inserting into the ams to starting the print)?

Okay, so the same thing happened to my lemon yellow.

On the day, I pulled the colour I didn't need out, popped orange in, said there was 814g left, started the print no issue. Once it had finished, it had emptied the filament count "spool".

Going back further, before this print, I had switched to your filament counting. Popped the used spool in, it registered with BamBuddy, I changed the total weight from 3dfilamentprofiles to BamBuddy.

Still don't know what spools we are talking about! Bambu Lab or non Bambu Lab?

filament count?

I changed the total weight from 3dfilamentprofiles to BamBuddy.

Not sure, but does that mean, that you changed the weight for a Bambu Lab spool manually? Why?

Yes, the total amount in that it said I had wasn't close to what my total was after printing.

No, that doesn't work. For Bambu Lab spools you don't need to do anything manually. It's fully automatic.

That means, that Bambuddy substracted the filament for the print and you also substracted a certain amount of filament from the specific spool.

To fix, delete the spool from inventory and trigger a slot reload.

And again: for Bambu Lab spools there is no need to do anything manually.
