Component

Bambuddy

Bug Description

Hey there! I love Bambuddy, and have recently run into an issue:

Image

The automated plate check seems to be throwing a false positive based on the grey portion of the bed on the right side (For a P1S). Anyway, my calibration could be to blame, but if this is a common issue for others let me know!

Expected Behavior

I would expect that it ignore this region, or not assume that it's a part.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Enabled plate detection, and took several photos of an empty bed at discrete height intervals (30 mm Z change)
  2. Went to start a print
  3. Print was automatically paused due to false positive

Printer Model

Yes, unfortunately the detection is not working reliable. Problem is, that the camera is in a fixed position, but the bed can be lowered. Until now we haven't found any reliable solution for this. I'm sorry.

@maziggy I have some ideas on how to fix this, actually. But it would require an automated calibration process, instead of discrete photos. I'll make a fork and make some updates. Although, I suspect this could be solved temporarily with some dark electrical tape 😂
