Updated the theme to v2.7.1 via HACS

Uninstalled HACS version of thomasloven's card-mod.

Installed your fork of card-mod into /homeassistant/www

Edited configuration.yaml with:

# Load frontend themes from the themes folder
frontend:
  themes: !include_dir_merge_named themes
  extra_module_url:
    - /homeassistant/www/card-mod.js

Restarted HA.

Flushed Firefox cache, restarted Firefox and logged in to HA.

Issue:

Firefox loads theme without new transparent sidebar. See Below.

You can add my repo to HACS and then install card-mod using HACS.

Alternatively (probably a better option), you can install this instead of card-mod:
https://github.com/Lint-Free-Technology/uix

It's made by the guy who was maintaining card-mod lately and he decided to spin it off. It should be backwards compatible with any card mod settings.

At this point I'd recommend uninstalling card-mod and using uix instead. It works smoothly.

I did exactly as you proposed Nezz but still no transparent sidebar, UIX installed via HACS repo, card-mod removed, no transparent sidebar on any of my android devices and browsers (Zen, Comet)
