Original GitHub issue: https://github.com/binwiederhier/ntfy/issues/532
Requesting a feature to allow gifs (and/or mp4) to be treated like the JPG attachments in the Android app where it is rendered in the message without having to download the file and open it in a separate app.
My use case is that my Mail and Packages integration for Home Assistant provides a gif+mp4 of photos my mail to be delivered. Hoping to include that as an 'in-line' info in addition to a text-based summary.
@olivluca commented on GitHub (Mar 18, 2026):
Would it be possible to also preview mp4 videos? (the feature request says "and/or" so technically the issue is fixed, but...)
