This theme is very beautiful in visual studio and I really like the liquid glass style applied to the UI. But is it possible to bring this "liquid glass" style into jetbrains (intellij)? Because I really like the new update with the islands but I feel like it's still behind on other aspects.
@bwya77 commented on GitHub (Feb 16, 2026):
Can you elaborate? Are you asking if I can update the Jetbrains IDE?
@sickmazin commented on GitHub (Feb 16, 2026):
I'm wondering if this Liquid Glass style on the left bar (where explorer, git, etc. are) can be ported to JetBrains. It would be a perfect style to match the new update, and you could take inspiration from the theme and style changes that Material Theme UI brings with it. I dont ask to you if u can update Jetbrains, lmao...
@bwya77 commented on GitHub (Feb 16, 2026):
Im not familiar with Jetbrains IDE, if its using css I cant see why not. I just used CSS to make the glass like look. I am going to keep it open to see when I have time
@sickmazin commented on GitHub (Feb 17, 2026):
Jetbrains IDE dont use css to define a theme but json instead. There is a tutorial to create a personal theme here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9J0j-90dC60.
If i have time to create that, i will tell you and maybe we can work together ... I am going to keep it open too.

Closing this out, this project will be for VS Code
