It's not bad that it glows, you can sorta see the box around it creating that "glow" effect.

I removed the entire drop-shadow filter line in the settings.json folder under ".monaco-icon-label.file-icon::before" section. Just ctrl f drop shadow. The glow is gone, not sure if anything is broken now, but from what I see its all fine.
