💡 idea
Hi,
i wonder why it's not possible to send a message to a topic via the Android app, even if the web app can do this. Would be a nice feature.
Thanks for your good work!
💻 Target components
@billbrod commented on GitHub (Apr 6, 2025):
I would also be interested in this feature. For now, I've found two possible workarounds: install the PWA or highlight text somewhere, share it via ntfy, and then edit the resulting message. Not straightforward, but it works for now!
@baudneo commented on GitHub (Apr 21, 2025):
Also throw my vote towards this.
@xcpn commented on GitHub (Jun 10, 2025):
I don't understand why this is still not a feature..
@xcpn commented on GitHub (Jan 1, 2026):
Any plans regarding this? This feature is a top quality of life improvement and I don't understand why this is still not a thing.
For me it would be one of the top priorities.

This is an open source project. You are more than welcome to submit PRs, fork the project or kindly inquire about feature requests. Your two comments are not kind. They reek entitlement. Intentional or not, please be aware that you are getting something entirely for free, and yet you are complaining about it. Many people have written about it (1, 2, 3).
Please be kind and respectful when interacting with open source projects.
That said, this feature will be released as part of the next Android release in about a week.

@binwiederhier this might be different cultures, but I did not mean anything in an entitlement way.
Of course we are getting all of this for free and personally am very thankful this project exists. From my side the comments I made are just curiosity and nothing more.
